The Future of Python in Personal Clouds

Jeff Kramer is a Technical Architect at HP Cloud, where he develops new cloud automation services for customers. After a decade and a half with the other 'P' languages, he finally jumped into Python with both feet early last year, and has since taught a small intro to python class and built an OpenStack compatible cloud service from the ground up.

All the technology that startups and enterprises built for the cloud is now available for personal use, and it's leading us towards the concept of a Personal Cloud, a place in the network just for us, where we have data privacy and service consistency just like we had with our desktop PCs. In this evolution of a SXSW 2013 talk, I'll outline what the Personal Cloud is, talk about some of the latest developments, and outline the opportunity for Python and Pythonistas to really lead in this space.
